Bases
Slip-Fit and Screw-Fit Bases
With the Slip-Fit system, a special nipple is attached to the slip base. The Slip-Fit upright slides quickly and easily over the nipple. The base is punched with up to three holes so the nipple can be positioned in the center of the base or at any edge. The 11” and 15” bases also have a stacking slot, allowing the bases to be stagger stacked for easier storage.
The Screw-Fit system utilizes a threaded nipple riveted into the bottom of the screw in the upright that threads into the Screw-Fit base. The Screw-Fit base was designed with two extruded holes, one in the center of the base and another at the edge. The hole at the edge is useful when uprights are placed next to a wall. Extruded holes guide the upright into the base easily, without cross-threading. Screw-in nipples are attached to the uprights with four steel rivets and are designed to be replaced with simple hand-tools.
Note: The main advantage of the Screw-Fit system is the ability to stack the bases, which requires less storage space.
Replacement parts for all pipe and drape components are available in the event of damage or loss.
